June 2023 Meeting
BELUG: Supporting Linux and open source for 19+ years.
The next meeting is August 8th at 6:30pm at the North Bellevue Community Center. The address is:
North Bellevue Community Center
4063 148th Ave NE
Bellevue, WA. 98007
Please come early, if you can, to help set up the room.
We are always interested in presentations related to Linux. Please reach out if you have one or more, that you could share with us.
The meeting will follow our normal format with introductions all around, collecting technical questions to answer later, then any presentations, finishing with our best answers to the technical questions.
Last month we discussed these and other topics:
Using WSL, to host containers with podman and compose for software development:
Bill is still very happy running Raspberry PI's on an ssd.
Another person has had some trouble with Manjaro.
At an earlier meeting Randy gave an introduction to the linux CLI. People were happy with his introduction. Thanks Randy.
We touched on zsh, an enhanced shell.
Another attendee wrote his own RSS utility using curl.
I hope to see everyone Tuesday.
