March 2023 Meeting
At this next meeting I would like to test chatGPT, Bard, Bing, and other 'AI' system to answer your questions about Linux. I have had good luck with this recently and we should have some fun.
BELUG: Supporting Linux and open source for 19+ years.
The next meeting is April 11th at 6:30pm at the North Bellevue Community Center. The address is:
North Bellevue Community Center
4063 148th Ave NE
Bellevue, WA. 98007.
Please come early, if you can, to help set up the room.
We are always interested in presentations related to Linux. Please reach out if you have one, or more, that you could share with us.
Please consider joining KEGS. That membership helps pay for our room rental and you get access to a host of nationwide training events. Check out the KEGS web site.
The meeting will follow our normal format with introductions all around, collecting technical questions to answer later, using "AI", then any presentations, finishing with our best answers to the technical questions.
Last month we discussed proxmon.
Chromebook - how to install Linux as a replacement OS.
We also discussed how add xfce to Chromebook, battery problems, BSD and its packet filter firewall.
One user has a Pine Phone Pro and has had interesting results.
Our zoom host has a podcast on open source and security. You can check it out at his web site
Always a favorite - Raspberry Pi.
And now you can install Kali Linux on a Pi for a nice security penetration testing device.
There was a discussion about Xorg vs, Wayland.
We mentioned the EUFI-stub bootloader.
Thank you for an interesting meeting. Hope to see everyone Tuesday.
